No Houzito fee on rent
Tenants pay the processor's cost. Nothing else.
Houzito earns from the subscription, not from your rent. A rent payment carries only what Stripe charges to move the money, added on top of rent so you receive the exact amount on the lease.
- Bank (ACH): 0.8%, never more than $5.00. Or nothing extra for the tenant, if you cover the bank fee.
- Card: 2.9% + $0.30.

FAQ
Questions about plans and fees.
Are any features limited to the paid plans?
Only text messages. The free trial sends invites and reminders by email; Growth and Pro send them by text as well. Everything else is the same everywhere. The plans differ in how many properties they hold: 3 during the trial, 8 on Growth and 15 included on Pro.
What happens when the free trial ends?
After 2 months you choose Growth or Pro to keep going. Until you do, new invoices, reminders and late fees pause; your tenants can still pay what was already issued, and nothing is deleted.
What happens when I outgrow my plan?
During the trial and on Growth, adding a property beyond the limit is blocked until you upgrade. Pro does not block you: past its 15 included properties, each additional unit adds $5 a month, and only while a tenant is assigned to it. An empty unit costs nothing.
Is there a discount for paying yearly?
Yes. Growth is $150 a year instead of $15 a month, and Pro is $390 a year instead of $39 a month: two months free either way.
Does what my tenant pays depend on my plan?
No. Rent payments carry no Houzito fee on any plan, so the tenant pays the same during the trial as on Pro: only Stripe's processing cost, or nothing extra by bank if you cover the bank fee.
Do I pay anything on each rent payment?
Not by default: the tenant covers the processor's cost and you receive the exact rent. If you choose to cover the bank fee, Stripe deducts it from your payout: 0.8% of the payment, never more than $5.00.
Do I need a credit card to start?
No. The free trial needs no card: 2 months with up to 3 properties. You add a card only when you choose a plan.
